Rhode Island Vegan Awareness is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been dedicated to advocating veganism for a more peaceful and just world for all life for over 20 years.

Autumn Air, Vegan Fare!
Join Rhode Island Vegan Awareness for Autumn Air, Vegan Fare on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 11 AM–2 PM at Johnston Memorial Park!
Celebrate the season with a fun, family-friendly afternoon featuring a group walk, vegan food, cooking demonstrations, a raffle, and plenty of autumn fun.
We’re excited to welcome Chef Jay from The Plant Based Studio and Chef Cara from Mills Tavern, who will each be sharing their talents during live cooking demonstrations. Guests can also enjoy delicious desserts available for purchase from Sweet Fairy.
A variety of vegan food is included with the price of admission, so come hungry! Whether you’re vegan, vegan-curious, or simply looking for a fun way to spend a fall afternoon, everyone is welcome.
Tickets are $10 per person and must be purchased in advance. Children ages 5 and under are free.

Inspire justice and true respect for other species and the earth
Our television PSA, bus advertisements, film screenings, Ask a Vegan tables, Pay-Per-View programs, library displays and more, have exposed compelling reasons to choose vegan. Featuring vegan cuisine at events helps people see how easy and delicious being vegan can be.
Educate the public with critical information
Since 2001, RIVA has reached thousands through outreach tables, workshops, guest speakers, and the distribution of free literature.
Support the local community
Our website, Facebook page, monthly meetings, annual events, fundraisers, and special events are all additional ways that RIVA creates a vegan friendly community.
